One big trend we have noticed over the years is that there is tons of free information out there on productivity, efficiency and time management. Heck, our podcast The Productivity Show and the Asian Efficiency blog is all free and consumed by millions of people every year.
More information does not necessarily mean that you execute on it. Just because you read an article about the five steps to writing down an effective goal does not mean that you immediately implement it, right?
When we started Asian Efficiency, part of our brand promise was to make everything simple and actionable. Whether you listened to a podcast, read a blog post, or bought one of our courses – you could expect everything to be simple and actionable.
Over the years we have seen that more information is confusing people. There are a lot of conflicting ideas, thoughts, and pieces of advice out there. One person says you should do “x”, Asian Efficiency says do “y” and another podcaster says you need to do “z” if you want to be productive. When all these suggestions don’t overlap or conflict with each other, you get confused, paralyzed, and don’t take action.
Take for example the diet industry. If you’ve been trying to lose weight and thinking of switching to a different diet, you might have heard someone say to do keto, paleo or even the carnivore diet. They’re all popular but have conflicting ideas such as how many carbs you should eat. It’s so confusing and you end up doing nothing.
That’s a problem! Confusion leads to inaction. We’ve seen so many people struggle with implementing and executing in the last few years.
So when we thought about how we can best help people, we knew that putting more information out there is not the solution. We already do that with our podcast and blog. We’ve realized that there’s a lot of information in there and not enough value to help people EXECUTE and IMPLEMENT. To do the damn thing that people procrastinate on (which oftentimes are important tasks).
So we’re going to address that!
In 2015 we started the largest private productivity community and training library called the Dojo. This is where members can share ideas with each other and learn from other like-minded people. Every month you will also get a live coaching call with Asian Efficiency team members where you can ask questions and get answers. Members also received 6 new productivity courses a year that aren’t available anywhere else.
But we realized it was lacking something – there wasn’t enough focus on EXECUTION & IMPLEMENTATION. It was the same model of “more information” but it wasn’t emphasizing enough implementation.
That had to change. Especially when we’ve seen so many people struggle with execution and implementation.
That’s why we’re excited to announce the Dojo 2.0 – the new and improved Dojo that is focused around EXECUTION and IMPLEMENTATION.
Dojo 2.0
What is Dojo 2.0 and what does this mean to you?
Every month Dojo members will have a live implementation session called Do The Damn Thing (DTDT). Each month there’s a productivity topic and we will invite you to join us on the live implementation session. On the live session, we will teach for a little bit on the topic and then the rest of the time we will give you prompts and exercises to EXECUTE & IMPLEMENT live on the call. By the time the hour is over, you will have implemented everything we’ve taught you on the live call. If you cannot make it live, we’ll send you a recording of it so you can still follow along and get the same benefits.
Think of it as a live group coaching call with a big emphasis on execution while you’re live on the call. You’re not there to just learn, you’re there to execute and implement. So be sure to join us on the next Do The Damn Thing call on Planning Your Perfect Week. You can register here for it.
With Dojo 2.0, we want to focus on getting you to execute and implement. That’s where you will see the most value and change in your life. Instead of learning about “planning your week”, let’s have you implement it on the Do The Damn Thing calls and see an immediate impact.
If you want to become a member and join us on the next Do The Damn Thing call, you can click this link to enroll.
